Cheerful yellow flowers and fresh new leaves on a small Forsythia tree in a neighbour’s garden
It’s that time again for the monthly tree-following link box, which will stay open for your tree-related links until 7pm GMT on April 14.
It’s hard to believe that spring is really here at last and in Cardiff we had a mini heatwave for a few days last week. For the Easter weekend the wind turned around to the north and east so temperatures dropped and yesterday we actually had some hail. But hopefully that was just a blip and warmer days will return soon.
Later in the week I hope to visit the Lombardy poplar tree I am monitoring in Victoria Park, not too far from home, but I wonder what the rest of you tree followers are up to? I’m sure some of you still have snow…
Hopefully you will have something new to report. Any tree-related post is acceptable from contributors old and new.
Point to the post you would like to share, using the link box below. And please don’t forget to leave a comment.
If you are new to tree following, read all about the idea here.

Thank you – that forsythia was actually cut to a stump by the neighbour so I thought that was the end of it – but a few years later it’s back.
Your birch shows promise – and great news about the blue tits!
All the best π
Still some snow up here. But it’s thawing fast. Maybe next month the ground will be nearly snow-free also where I live? I long for greenery and colourful flowers.
Hope you don’t have to wait too long for spring π
It’s been a funny old month – at times warm enough to wear a T-shirt and shorts, at other times barely getting above 0 degrees!
Thanks for hosting π
Thanks for contributing again – I enjoyed reading about the bird life in your park, as well.
Yes, the weather is variable – depending on the wind direction, very much chill winds from east and north lately.
Best wishes π
We have had a few days of hard frost and some snow flurries, it has felt like a return to Winter at times. Hopefully we are now through the worst. Thanks for hosting this meme for another month.
Thanks for contributing.
Those chartreuse leaves are looking good π
Post about both our trees now published and linked. xx
Thank you both – you have chosen fascinating trees π
Hi Tree Followers. I just squeezed in before the deadline!
Thanks for that. I only just made it myself!
A shame your magnolia was nipped by the cold weather, but still plenty of interest as always in your park.
All the best :0
More snow, not unusual for us this time of year, but unusual this seasonβmuch to little of it! Happy spring π
I’m pleased you have had some moisture – even if it’s frozen at the moment.
I don’t blame you for viewing your trees from the warm indoors!
All the best π
