The Wildfowl and Wetlands Centre at Llanelli is at its best in winter when the birds are keen to be fed.
But we usually also visit in summer, when the wild plants are sometimes more attractive than the birds, which mostly loll around, sleepy and messy with moulting.
These pictures were taken in August 2009 and as usual I have tried to identify the birds but let me know if I am wrong…
