Raindrops on pine needles, seen from my study window

It’s time for the March tree-following get-together. If you are an existing follower I do hope you will continue in 2022 but new enthusiasts are also very welcome to join us. Spring is on the way in the northern hemisphere so it’s an ideal time to choose a tree to follow, if you haven’t already.
February has lived up to its reputation as “February fill-dyke” with a great deal of rain but also tree-felling gales here in South Wales. In the space of a week we had Storm Dudley, Storm Eunice (by far the worst) and Storm Franklin.
I hope to visit the tall tulip tree (Liriodendron tulipifera) in Victoria Park this week and, with the weather brightening I may visit some other parks this month, too.
I wonder what all you regular tree followers are up to? I’m sure you will have something new to report. Point to any tree-related post you would like to share, using the link box below. And please don’t forget to leave a comment.
The link box is now open for contributions and will stay open until 7pm GMT on March 14.
If you are new to tree following, read all about the idea here, although I appreciate that I must update that page when I have the chance!
