Something with four sides: A big Dorset Knob biscuit tin from a holiday trip – now very useful as a storage box…
Earlier in the year I signed up for the Summer Photography Scavenger Hunt hosted by Mary-Lou at Patio Postcards – details here. During this coronavirus lockdown it has been a challenge to find the items, mostly indoors. Here is my third selection…

Something with or in a knot: Ceramic beads that look chocolate-candy-coated…

…and knots in a wooden wardrobe door…

Something with the colours of your country’s flag: Welsh flag on a Tesco bag…

…and here’s the flag on an Aldi bag, in an image made of potatoes, sprouts and strawberries – I don’t shop at Aldi as it is too far away, but this bag reminds me of our kind neighbour, who brought us some toilet rolls in the bag at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic…

…in case the Welsh flag itself is too obvious, these enamel badges are also in the flag colours of red, white and green – the vintage snowdrops are a favourite and the other badges are from the Shanghai Foreign Language Institute, given by a visitor to Cardiff, and a Cardiff Devils ice hockey badge – it’s an old one but I fondly recall my last outing with workmates before lockdown was to the ice hockey…

An animal statue: I had forgotten that this would qualify, from a visit to Victoria Park in June – it’s Billy the Seal by David Petersen…
Thanks to the organiser for a great list of subjects – only a few items left to tick off in September. I look forward to seeing other participants’ interpretations.
This is the full list of subjects: A favourite piece of jewellery * Something with or in a knot * Something with the colours of your country’s flag * A toy you play with * Something you have more than one of * Something in the shape of a triangle * Something that displays a rule(s) * A leaf longer than your hand * Something that starts with the initial of your name (first or last) * Something smaller than a paper clip * Something you need to throw away * Something that holds your favourite beverage * A rubber band/elastic in use * Something with wheels * Something inherited * Something with rough texture * Something naturally round * Something that can go in the water * A stone/rock/pebble with some colour in it * Something with the number 7 in it
Alternatives: An animal statue * Something heavier than your shoe * Something with four sides

I’m glad you are joining in with the SPSH search. Great finds. My Welsh blood stirs at the flag, (Welsh on my maternal side) & I do like those enamel badges.
Yes, the red dragon is a grand symbol to motivate a sports team, for example…
Thanks again for the challenge 🙂
I’d be tempted to eat your ceramic chocolates.
Me too, every time…
Then I imagine my teeth breaking!
All the best 🙂
Nice selection of photos. I think this is the first time I saw the Welsh flag.
It is an unusual one, but of course we are part of the United Kingdom so our own flag doesn’t appear on the lists of national flags of the world.
Best wishes 🙂
A lovely collection of finds. 🙂
Thank you 🙂
