The tree-following link box has closed for another month. I can’t believe it’s August already – my mind is still stuck back in March when the Covid-19 lockdown started. Here in South Wales we have had sunshine and rain – but at least it means we haven’t had to water the plants.
Any tree-related post is acceptable in these lock-down times and everyone has found something interesting to say. You will find everyone’s updates below, so enjoy exploring…
Crafty Green Poet – Juliet in Edinburgh, Scotland – horse chestnut
Erika Groth in Sweden – possibly Salix fragilis
Alison at the Blackberry Garden – those quinces are looking juicy…
Lucy Corrander – Loose and Leafy in Halifax – sycamores
Flighty’s Plot – Liz’s white oak in Lexington, Kentucky, and Mike’s plum tree
Pat – Squirrelbasket – Cardiff, Wales – Persian ironwood in August
If you are new to tree following, read all about the idea here.
Thanks so much to everyone who contributed in August. Why not join us next time? Just point us to any tree-related post you would like to share, using the link box published on the 7th of each month and lasting for a week. Although we all try to publish our tree followings every month, we are very forgiving if you post less often.
See you in September…
that’s a lovely photo!
I can’t believe it’s August already either!

Thank you.
And only now am I realising that the days start getting shorter when we are still in August – which i thought was high summer…
All the best 🙂
Lovely photo of the acorns.
This year, and especially this summer, sure has been different than most.
And I love your willow – and in such a lovely setting by the lake.
Thanks for joining in again 🙂
This year is (thankfully) flying by, one day scorching hot, the next day cloudy. Thank heavens for the distractions nature gives us.
I think everyone is finding comfort in nature this year.
Thanks for joining in again 🙂
Hello. Good picture. Our rather brief report has just been posted and linked. xx
The report was, as always, small but perfectly formed.
Thanks to both of you for joining in again 🙂
Hi Pat, I’m taking a break this month, but will be back next month with a brand new tree. It’s a beauty, too! Meanwhile, stay safe all you tree lovers!
Thanks for staying in touch – I look forward to seeing your new tree…
Take care 🙂
Oak leaves, acorns, rain drops … terrific! Very enjoyable visit with my tree this month, thanks again for hosting.
I’m loving your purple tree!
Thanks for joining us again 🙂
