No sprout about it – a witty Christmas card from my friend and council co-worker Sue, sold by Morrisons in aid of Clic Sargent, Young Lives v Cancer (https://www.younglivesvscancer.org.uk/)
It’s rather a sorry year for Christmas cards – with the UK postal workers’ strike I am still expecting to receive quite a few more greetings long after the festive period ends…
But as usual I have chosen my favourites from those that have arrived and include the charities’ website addresses where the cards were sold for their benefit…

Rolling the Snowball by Muriel Dawson c. 1925, sold by Museums & Galleries on behalf of the NSPCC (https://www.nspcc.org.uk/), British Heart Foundation (https://www.bhf.org.uk/), Mind (https://www.mind.org.uk/), Marie Curie Cancer Care (https://www.mariecurie.org.uk/) and Shelter (https://www.shelter.org.uk/)

Winter Woollies from the Almanac Gallery, Great British Card Company

More sheep – Santa Flying Over the Fields from Elle Media Group on behalf of Yorkshire Air Ambulance (https://www.yorkshireairambulance.org.uk/)

Another Yorkshire theme – York Minster by Gordon Lees for Woodmansterne, sold on behalf of Age UK (https://www.ageuk.org.uk/) Marie Curie Cancer Care (https://www.mariecurie.org.uk/), British Heart Foundation (https://www.bhf.org.uk/) and Mind (https://www.mind.org.uk/)

Santa and Reindeer from Ling Design, sold on behalf of Cardiff’s City Hospice (https://www.cityhospice.org.uk/)

Little Town of Bethlehem, sold by Morrisons on behalf of Together for Short Lives, a children’s hospice group (https://www.togetherforshortlives.org.uk/)

Another nativity theme – The Three Kings sold for the British Heart Foundation (https://www.bhf.org.uk/)

As always there were birds – these Winter Geese featured on a card from the National Trust (https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/)

Another one from the BHF (https://www.bhf.org.uk/) – Fluffy Robin and Holly Berries

Robins were a very common theme this year – this one was sold by WH Smith in support of Cancer Research UK (https://www.cancerresearchuk.org/), the National Literacy Trust (https://literacytrust.org.uk/) and Mind (https://www.mind.org.uk/)

And finally one of the cards I chose to send out – although I didn’t buy as many cards this time as I had so many left over from previous years – this is a sweet long-tailed tit by Deva Evans for the RSPB (https://www.rspb.org.uk/)
All beautiful. Happy Christmas!
