Something from the 2000s: A Cylon Centurion model from my Battlestar Galactica boxed set
It’s the second month for the Summer Photography Scavenger Hunt hosted by Mary-Lou at Patio Postcards – the next link-up will be on August 9.
I am still struggling to find many of these scavenger subjects but here are my latest efforts…

Truck Making The Deliveries: Food arriving for the cafe in Victoria Park

The Delivery Van: A Hermes crew – I just have a nice man in a car delivering from Hermes but he knows me by name now – I have been too shy to ask him if I could take his photo

What’s In Bloom: Agapanthus in a local garden – mine are also coming into flower this year for the first time in ages

What’s In Bloom: Hypericum in another roadside garden

What’s In Bloom: Hemerocallis – day lilies

A Guilty Pleasure: Now everyone will know that when I order lunchtime baguettes from Greggs I also add some more-ish chocolate caramel slices. I limit myself to one a day (slice, not packet)

An Exit: North-western gate out of Victoria Park

Covid supplies: It feels like nostalgia already – the pretty mask on the left was a gift, the black one was an early version and those on the right are what I use now, the disposable ones for a trip to the hairdresser as they get covered in dye. Then there are bottles of sanitiser and my best buy has been the anti-fog cleaning cloths to stop my spectacles steaming up every time I go into a shop

Head In The Clouds: Horse’s head? We had either cloudless blue skies or wet grey skies for weeks until some recent storms which livened things up a bit. I snapped these through the window after noticing them on TV during a game of cricket in nearby Sophia Gardens this week

Head In The Clouds: There has to be something here but I’m not sure if the one on the left is a face in profile, Spongebob Squarepants or a £ sign…

And finally… that Cylon again. I have had the boxed set of Battlestar Galactica for years but only caught up with every single episode of the 2004-2009 sci-fi series when it was recently re-shown on BBC TV
Thanks to Mary-Lou for a thoughtful list of subjects – I look forward to seeing other bloggers’ interpretations.
This is the full list of subjects: Breakfast of champions * Favourite time of day * Something to represent home but not the building * Head in the clouds; shapes or interesting patterns * The art of the fold * Something that makes you laugh or happy * What’s in bloom * Window views * Something older than you * The delivery van/truck making the deliveries * The shape of round/circular * Something that is cause for celebration * Your Marie Kondo moment – or not * Inside your fridge or cupboard * Your best doodle art (not public graffiti) * A guilty pleasure; Something that recharges you * An exit * Upside down, right side up * Steps, but who’s counting * Decades of sharing; find something in your home that is from the 70’s or 80’s or 90’s or 00’s
Alternatives: Show off your COVID safety; masks, cleaning, or other related supplies * A local landmark * The most beautiful landscape photo of the season
See you again in a month’s time…
I think the first cloud photo looks like a gorilla’s head looking to the right, and the second one is a bit like Popeye looking to the left.
Ah yes! And I think I see Popeye’s pipe?
Best wishes 🙂
Thanks for joining in. Brilliant finds. I saw a fish in the first cloud & a drill in the 2nd cloud.
Thanks for setting the tasks!
I think I see what you mean by the fish and the drill, although I think I see another Chinese-god sort of face in the middle of the second picture. I have seen a lot of fish and faces up there lately…
All the best 🙂
