Snow on my bare sweetgum tree (Liquidambar styraciflua) this morning
In the South Wales Valleys to the north it often snows but here in Cardiff it is such a rarity that I always get over-excited – even if today it was just an overnight sprinkling of less than an inch.
We last had proper snow here when the Beast from the East hit us as February turned to March in 2018. That lasted just a few days but still caused chaos and time off work. Today’s snow was just decorative and soon gone…

Snow on the neighbour’s roof around 7.30am…

…car tracks in slush on the road around 9.30am

Melting snow on hellebore

Mahonia

Campanula

Heuchera

Blueberry leaves

Even the snow turning to slush on top of a brick wall was fascinating in its texture…
I hope we have more snow – but not TOO much!
Snow is fun (slush, not so much)
At least now we are working from home I don’t need to navigate the weather conditions…
Best wishes 🙂
No snow here 😦
I am not surprised!
Palm trees down there in Dorset 🙂
All the best…
lovely photos, we’ve had a fair amount of snow this winter here in Edinburgh! It lay on the ground for quite a while at one point which was lovely to look at.

And the snow does set off the skeletons of the trees so beautifully – you have some lovely recent blog posts featuring both snow and trees…
All the best 🙂
