A favourite piece of jewellery: I probably haven’t worn this necklace and earrings for 30 years or more, but loved them when I was younger – they are pictured against a background of a plain pair of black trousers as I couldn’t find velvet…
Having enjoyed the Winter Photography Scavenger Hunt with Eileen at A Bracelet of Days, I have signed up for the Summer Photography Scavenger Hunt hosted by Mary-Lou at Patio Postcards – details here. The first monthly link-up is here.
This time there is an added challenge as during the coronavirus lockdown I have hardly strayed from the house and garden.

Something in the shape of a triangle: I didn’t quite find an exact triangle but I would recommend this wonderful mail-order cheese we had sent down from Wensleydale (my husband is a Yorkshireman)…

A leaf longer than your hand: We are still trying to eradicate this Japanese anemone from what is now a herb garden but it keeps coming back…

A rubber band/elastic in use: A bunch of basil ready to go into spaghetti Bolognese…

Something with wheels: This tiny shopping trolley was once full of candy Easter eggs but now has its uses on my desk, usually holding my mobile phone…

Something inherited: My mother died when I was 10 and I have very few items to remember her by – this oriental face-powder pot is one of them, set against a blue bath towel

Something naturally round: During the lockdown I have grown potatoes in tubs for the first time – this is the tiniest one I harvested of the early variety ‘Swift’, just over 1cm across, in the middle of one of our everyday dinner plates – I should have added something to show its size!

Something that can go in the water: Travel-size bath foams on a chocolate brown face cloth, or as we call it, a flannel

A stone/rock/pebble with some colour in it: I have a jar of large rocks and pebbles and I used to know exactly where I picked up every one. I should have written it down, as now I have forgotten!
Thanks to the organiser for a wonderful list of subjects – I look forward to seeing what other people have photographed. Every interpretation is different.

You have made a great start on this list. Pat thanks for joining in with SPSH.
We also have the overly invasive Japanese Anemone – pretty flower but it takes over!
What great finds! Such a pretty little pot that you inherited, how precious.
Thank you for your kind comment – I enjoyed your finds, too 🙂
Wonderful finds! The triangle shaped cheese is perfect for the triangle & that oriental face-powder pot is lovely.
Thank you.
I was blown away by your finds! You are a real collector!
All the best 🙂
A delightful and varied selection.
Thanks Lucy. I have been enjoying your 30 days wild but must get around to leaving a comment!
Take care 🙂
I also have a collection of rocks and stones. A nice moulded shard that fits in the palm of my hand, still with my mother’s handwritten label ‘serpentine’ (I think it also says Lands End – could that be right?)
Yes, serpentine is definitely one of the rocks of Cornwall.
I wish I had been as organised as your mother – what a lovely memento!
All the best 🙂
The necklace and earrings are so beautiful.
Nice selection of photos! 😊
And they have lasted well considering they weren’t very expensive.
Thank you for your kind comment – take care 🙂
What great finds! The pot you inherited from your mum is very pretty. 🙂
Thank you for your kind comment – I loved your choices, too 🙂
