Many thanks for sharing have a blessed day
You too 🙂
I love the idea of luminous trees. We have four beautiful, large trees opposite our house in the local churchyard. It would be great – but rather eerie – if they glowed in the dark!
Yes, something a bit “spectral” about the idea 🙂
That is a very interesting selection. I must try to get to the Ai Weiwei art installation at Downing, since it is just down the road. I love the idea of fluorescent trees lighting the streets.
I had forgotten you were in Cambridge.
I never really knew Downing, although our faculty was in Downing Street (Arch and Anth).
Hope you get along there and enjoy it.
Best wishes 🙂
This is terrific, thanks for compiling. The Finlandia film was interesting. I know the music, and now I will think of Finnish landscapes whenever I hear the beginning–seems to fit so well.
Thanks for looking at that one! I thought it might put people off as it was so long.
I came across it a few weeks ago after listening to the radio – a hymn came on and I thought “I know that tune” and remembered it was part of Finlandia. I had to listen to it again then so found it on YouTube. I think it’s a terrific little video, with the bears and birds, too.
Best wishes 🙂
It must take you ages to put these fascinating posts together. Thank you!
I make the most of odd moments!
And I apologise that I don’t comment on your blog nearly enough.
I still have this issue that I forget to look in the WordPress Reader for fellow WordPress blogs I follow, whereas the non-Wordpress blogs email me and I tend to look at at those automatically every day.
Really silly and I MUST resolve to do better!
All the best
Please don’t worry about it! I rarely use the reader, but I do get email notifications for WordPress blogs I follow. My problem is having lost the flow of reading and posting over the past few months I have a backlog and as I enjoy reading folks’ posts properly, I’m playing catch-up! Have a great summer
That’s the word – playing catch-up! Me too 🙂
me three ;~)
Now you are reminding me of that saying “forewarned is eight-armed” 🙂
