OK, I know it’s “a frog he would a-wooing go” in the old song, but I couldn’t think of anything else as a title for these pictures of a pair of urban foxes in a neighbour’s garden, basking in the morning sunlight after a wet few days. They look so devoted to each other.

If I had to guess, I would say the one lying down (left) is the female and the other is a male fox...
I don’t worry about these foxes. They live in the park nearby, rather than among urban dustbins. And I appreciate their visits…
Gorgeous shots – I think it’s lovely that they come and visit!
Thank you for your comment – I have taken a look at you nature photography blog http://scenescope.wordpress.com/ and liked it so much I have subscribed… 🙂
They are so beautiful! I love foxes, especially their eyes.
Hi Pat – Thanks so much for the photos of the foxes!!!! You are very lucky to have them so close by, and I’m sure they keep down the mouse population too. Wish there were some here, but we do have racoons and squirrels in the city, and I understand that on the mainland (of southwestern British Columbia in Canada) there are coyotes which are venturing further into residential areas, to the dismay of small dog and cat owners. But I love to see photos of the pretty foxes, my favourites. Best regards.
Thank you for your kind comments. You have so much bigger wildlife in America!
Apart from the birds, all we really have is the foxes and grey squirrels. The foxes remind me of both cats and dogs at the same time. But yes, they are so pretty…
Best wishes 🙂
I love pictures of nature and animals in the wild. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for taking the trouble to comment 🙂
These are lovely photos, she looked very contented laying in the sun. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you also for your tweet!
I am now wondering if the pair weren’t mates but siblings, as a few days later there were THREE of them cuddling together…
Best wishes

I love following your blog, too – at the moment my particular favourite is your picture of an eastern bluebird and I also liked your blue wasp…
